Over recent years Entec have completed and secured some major projects in Scotland such as:
- Brodick Ferry Terminal, Isle of Arran
- Shrubhill Student Accommodation, Edinburgh
- Premier Inn, Glasgow
- Minerva Street Apartments, Glasgow
- Academy Street Apartments, Inverness
We are looking to continue our expansion in Scotland and in order to achieve this goal, we have now opened an office in central Glasgow. Within this office we will have in-house estimating, contracts management and design capabilities.
We are a national subcontractor specialising in the design, supply and installation of complete building envelopes: roofing, cladding and glazing.
Since 2004 we have worked collaboratively with some of the UK’s leading main contractors and developers. Our collaborative approach has led to repeat business with the majority of Clients we have worked with.
Specialist subcontractor Entec Design Services Ltd has recently undertaken the complete building envelope of a new 83 bed Premier Inn in Middlesbrough using Exlabesa Building Systems’ ECW 50 curtain walling system and KSF Non Thermal Door system.
Entec was appointed as the complete building envelope subcontractor by the main contractor, fellow local company Jomast. Alan Clayton, Technical Director at Entec, said: “Jomas valued our expertise and ability to provide a complete building envelope solution and were happy to let us manage and co-ordinate numerous trades on-site.”
Entec used Exlabesa’s ECW 50 curtain walling system and KSF Non Thermal Door system on the project. Alan has worked with Exlabesa Building Systems for many years, dating back to when the company was known as Kaye Building Systems. He praises the ECW 50 curtain walling, saying: “It provides a high end curtain walling system that delivers what specifiers need.” He also appreciates Exlabea’s approach, commenting: “We have a great relationship with Exlabesa and they offer a range of off-site works that we really value.”
As Alan says, the ECW 50 system has all the credentials specifiers are looking for. It’s simple and quick to install, thanks to the unique gasket design that makes glazing simple. And where a total project solution is needed, the system can be easily integrated with Exlabesa’s KWS window systems and KSF and KTS commercial door systems, as was the case with the Premier Inn project.
Entec Design Services was established in 2004 and undertakes projects throughout the UK from its offices in Stockton. The company has an experienced team and has a reputation of consisstently providing a quality service that is delivered safely and on time.
The Premier Inn project was the first to be completed in the planned re-development of the Gurney Street Triangle area of Middlesbrough and the Entec team are delighted with the results. It seems Jomas were similarly impressed, because Entec won a further project in Newcastle upon Tyne on the strength of the quality of their work. The project is the perfect example of what can be achieved when high quality products are installed by a high quality contractor.
Building envelope subcontractor Entec Design Services installed Exlabesa Building Systems’ KSF Non Thermal Door system as part of a £3million refurbishment, via main contractor Vale UK, of a former BHS store in Middlesbrough which has reopened as Flannels, USC and Sports Direct.
Entec’s technical director Alan Clayton has worked with Exlabesa for many years. He said: “We have a great relationship with Exlabesa. The team are very helpful and good at keeping in touch and offer great turnaround times, which really helps us.”
